Melanie is the President of Future Fuels. She takes on the challenge of over seeing the entire company while also focusing on finance. Melanie, enjoyed time in her first career as a respiratory therapist for ten years before making a career change to be able to spend more time with her young children. Since her career change Melanie has worked in and around finance for more than twenty years. Starting out as a book keeper in the early 2000’s, Melanie quickly found that she had a knack for finance. She moved from book keeper to comptroller at a Columbia, SC based construction company while also starting her own home construction business. She then made the move over to a local school district where she became the finance associate. Melanie’s range of professional experience makes her the valuable leader Future Fuels needs. Recently, it was her sons, Austin and Alex, that convinced her that alternative fuel solutions are a growing industry that should be invested in. Instead of investing elsewhere it was Melanie, Austin, and Alex that decided to invest in themselves and open Future Fuels. When Melanie is not at the helm of our team she enjoys spending time with family and friends, going to the beach, and coaching pageants.
